The company Oeliatec has worked out efficient and ecological weed control technology, using micro water droplets. This method does not use pesticides. The water is heated at 120°C and then sprayed on weeds. The hot water can be used for weeding and to project at about 3 to 5 cm above the plants. About 30 seconds later, the leaves are boiled and start to wilt.
This weeding process has become very popular due to its ecological aspect and is legitimized by European laws forbidding the use of chemical product by public institutions.
Machines use running water, rainwater or even water from pounds with no chemicals added. Machines are tested and approved on the polluting aspects.
